The Lead for Partnerships and Fundraising will be responsible for developing and implementing the Fundraising and Partnerships Strategy of the Foundation. Reporting to the CEO, the Lead will be responsible for achieving the organization’s fundraising goals and communicating with supporters, stakeholders, and partners in Armenia and overseas. This includes the continuing development of existing and fledgling key relationships and contacts within Armenia-based and international networks, with a particular emphasis on corporate fundraising and the management of the Partnerships and Fundraising team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Build larger global strategic relations, such as partnerships and collaborations, major donors, and sponsorships

  • Foster relationships and select potential collaborators among other organizations and institutions, communities, and individuals nationally and internationally

  • Plan, develop, and execute the organization’s annual strategic partnerships and fundraising objectives

  • Develop new initiatives and local and global partnerships to support the strategic direction and objectives of the Foundation

  • Lead the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve fundraising targets

  • Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds

  • Lead the new individual giving development yearly plan which includes recruitment and development of new donors, relationships and retention

  • Oversee the management of grant and endowment fund program, supporting the donor relations officer and grant coordinator as necessary and ensuring the production of effective, high-quality proposals and reports

  • Facilitating the process of bilateral negotiations for fundraising purposes with strategic partners and institutions.

  • Build access to markets, expertise, and funding through a variety of events, e.g. forums, conferences, science fairs

  • Attend and manage on-the-ground events of importance to manage relationships and to ensure flawless execution

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in International Relations, Public Administration, Fundraising, Communications, Business Management, or related field;

  • At least five years of experience in a similar role

  • 3-5 years of fundraising experience.

  • Previous experience in sales or marketing also acceptable.

  • Sound knowledge of the charity sector.

  • Proven ability to negotiate and work with high level executives;

  • Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing partnerships over time;

  • Strategic thinking and non-linear thinking and ability to come up with creative solutions;

  • Excellent relationship building skills;

  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group - executives, managers, and subject matter experts;

  • Excellent command of English, Armenian and Russian, as well as written and verbal communication skills;

  • Ability to act independently, manage a team and work with other team members of all levels.

  • Ability to make sound decisions without a lot of direction;

  • Strong attention to details, organizational planning, time management, and multitasking abilities;

  • Ability to travel
