Carla Abrahamian is a PhD candidate at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Germany. Her research interest lies in the field of Molecular Pharmacology, investigating the role of a specific set of genes in oncology using induced pluripotent stem cells and CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing tools. Carla received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the Lebanese American University, followed by a Master’s of Science in Molecular Medicine and Cancer Research from Brunel University, London. She is a recipient of several scientific awards, most notably from the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET), and numerous International and Armenian scholarships. She works with NGOs and schools in efforts to contribute to the development of programs for the Armenian youth pursuing higher education.
