Hovakim Grabski is a Research Scientist and a Teaching Assistant at the Russian-Armenian University. He became a diploma specialist in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from the Russian-Armenian University in 2015. Hovakim’s research interests include Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology and Machine Learning. His research is aimed at combating antibiotic resistance of pathogenic bacteria by targeting the communication system (quorum-sensing). This is a very relevant topic because, in the worst-case scenario, there is an estimation that by 2050, 10 million people will pass away due to antimicrobial resistance every year. Hovakim has won numerous awards and fellowships, including the Annual Educational Award of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Google Summer of Code, Falling Walls Finalist, FAST Fellowship and others.
