Hrayr Harutyunyan is a Computer Science PhD candidate at the University of Southern California. He received his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at the Yerevan State University (2012-2018). During 2016-2018 he worked as a Machine Learning Researcher at YerevaNN Lab. Hrayr does both applied and theoretical research in the intersection of Deep Learning and Information Theory. His main research direction is studying information stored in neural network weights or activations, understanding its connections to generalization, memorization, stability and learning dynamics.
