Victor Akulian is a partner at KPMG, Russia and the CIS, a member of the company’s Board of Partners, and is the head of Private Equity Practice in Russia and the CIS. Victor has been working at KPMG since 1997. Before moving to Moscow in September 2003, he worked in the Yerevan office of KPMG, where he headed the Audit Department. Victor was also responsible for business development at the KPMG office in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 2000 Victor worked at KPMG Kyiv, Ukraine. He spent 18 months in the finance and banking group at the London office of KPMG. Since October 2004 Victor headed the Urals Regional Center of KPMG in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Since October 2008 Victor has been a partner with the Audit Department of KPMG in Russia and the CIS. He headed KPMG office in Tatarstan, Russia from 2010 to 2016.
Since October 2016 Victor is a member of the Board of Partners of KPMG in Russia and the CIS and is the head of the Private Equity Practice in Russia and the CIS. Victor is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
He is a graduate of the Yerevan Institute of National Economy with a degree in State Regulation of Economy and holds an MBA degree from the American University of Armenia.
