Sassoon Kosian is an accomplished executive with more than 20 years of experience in Machine Learning, AI and Data Science. Sassoon has applied his expertise across financial services, insurance, healthcare, and telecom industries in the US. His broad areas of expertise include evangelizing, designing and building Machine Learning/AI products and solutions that bring significant value to businesses. He is known as a creative leader and advisor to his partners and clients. Sassoon also has experience collaborating with and influencing business leaders to make data-driven decisions. Sassoon holds a leadership position as the corporate vice president, Data Science for New York Life Insurance Company where he is leading a team of data scientists to develop and execute advanced analytics and AI solutions. He has also served as a senior director of Data Science for AIG and led a data science team to create machine learning solutions for the commercial distribution business. Prior to his role at AIG, Sassoon served as the head of Methodology (Data Science) for EXL Service where he advised and built products and solutions for numerous corporate clients across multiple industries. Sassoon grew up in Armenia and moved to the US in 1998. He obtained his master’s degree in economics from the University of Essex and Central European University, a master’s degree in political science from the American University of Armenia, as well as a master’s degree in physics from Yerevan State University. In addition to his corporate roles, Sassoon also has a second career as an artist where he applies creativity without bounds. His sculptures and paintings have been shown in numerous exhibitions across the US and are held in many private collections.
