Prof. Alexander Mukasyan is Research Professor at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, University of Notre Dame. Since 2008 Professor is the Director Manager of the Laboratory of Advanced Electron Microscopy ND-IIF.
Professor Mukasyan is Author of 4 books, 8 Chapters in books, 16 invited reviews and more than 130 recent research publications, 26 patents have been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Professor’s research interests are Combustion of Heterogeneous Systems, Synthesis of Advanced Nano Materials, Kinetics of Rapid High-Temperature Reactions, Catalysis.
Current scientific interest is primarily related to nanotechnology, high energy density materials, and novel alternative energy sources.
Professor Alexander Mukasyan did his Master of Science (M.S.) in Plasma Physics at the National Research Nuclear University (former Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) in 1980. Professor Mukasyan defended his Ph.D. in Chemical Physics at the Institute of Chemical Physics, USSR Academy of Science in 1986 and Doctor of Science in Chemical Physics at the Institute of Structural Macrokinetics, USSR Academy of Science in 1994.
