Levon is specialized in biotechnologies with a background in plant research. Throughout his career, he has completed several projects on the analysis of parasitic plants. His research includes the development of transformation techniques for the parasitic Cuscuta species, and the molecular analysis of the plant material preserved under different conditions. Levon holds a bachelor’s in food technology from Armenian National Agrarian University and is trained in viticulture and winemaking. With his understanding of viticulture and molecular biology, he is set to explore Armenian grapevine species using Bioinformatics tools to decipher the correlations between the phenotypes and genotypes of grapevine. Levon is enrolled in Armenian Bioinformatics Institute and is a member of the Vine Bioinformatics team.
