Tomas Konecny obtained his bachelor’s and master's degrees in molecular biology and Genetics at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. At that time, he was working in the laboratory of Functional Genomics and Proteomics of Plants at the Central European Institute of Technology. In 2017, he started PhD in Molecular and cell biology and genetics at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Meanwhile, he was working in the laboratory of Plant Epigenetics and the laboratory of Functional Helminthology at the Czech Academy of Sciences. Currently, Tomas is a bioinformatician at the Armenian Bioinformatics Institute in Yerevan, Armenia and at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Bioinformatics in Leipzig, Germany. Tomas has deep knowledge of molecular biology, genetics, and plant physiology. He is experienced in bioinformatics, data analysis, and programming in Python and Bash. He is deeply interested in modern technologies, computer science, quantum computing, computer vision, and machine learning.
