Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Yerevan State University between 2008 and 2012. Inspired by the intersection of mathematics and emerging technologies, I pursued a Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota from 2012 to 2018. My doctoral research primarily focused on investigating the mathematical foundations of Data Science and Machine Learning, with a particular emphasis on unsupervised learning techniques such as dimensionality reduction, covariance estimation, and low-rank approximation. After completing my Ph.D., I continued my academic journey as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Arizona from 2018 to 2022. During this period, I further expanded my expertise in mathematics and its applications in data science and machine learning, with a specific focus on dimensionality reduction and visualization techniques. Throughout my doctoral and postdoctoral experiences, I had the privilege of teaching various mathematics courses. Currently, I work at the YerevaNN research lab as a Machine Learning Researcher. In addition to my research work, I also have the opportunity to share my knowledge and passion for machine learning by teaching an advanced machine learning course at the Armenian Code Academy.
