Dr. Khahatur Kirakosyan is a senior researcher at the Institute of Chemical Physics of NAS RA. He received his PhD degree in Physical Chemistry from the Supreme Certifying Committee, Armenia, in 2016. He had research training at the Department of Materials Technology of Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia) in 2015 and at the CEITEC Nano Research Centre of Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic) in 2023. His research interests have been focused on advanced nanomaterials, ceramics, composites, and biocompatible intermetallic synthesis with Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) and Solution Combustion Synthesis (SCS) methods and characterization, as well as investigations of interaction mechanism in a wide range of material’s heating rate. In recent years, his works have focused on 0D, 1D, and 2D materials synthesis with Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD, PECVD, MOCVD), Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD), and Hydrothermal synthesis methods, and characterization for IR, gases, and biosensors application. Several international (European Social Fund’s Doctoral Studies and Internationalisation Programme DoRa) and national grants have supported his research activity. He was involved in local organizing committees of 7 international conferences and was vice-chairman in “Chemistry Today 2014.”
